*Friday, April 2*
Today was another "down" day. We headed South to Silver Strand Beach (a place recommended to us by Ruth and Ray Parker during our dinner last week.) We had hoped to park our RV there but, it didn't have any hookups for water or sewer...we are always up for a service-free camping trip but, not right now! Yup, we are kind of wimpy - I won't lie. :)
The beach was just beyond a beautiful community on Corronado Island. Great shops and restaurants. After poking around we headed back "home" for a long nap, a bike ride and then made rough plans for the coming week on the road.
We are enjoying every moment and hate to think that our time is coming to an end. We are going to try and pack a bunch of fun into the long drive North...
Though we are traveling, we have not forgotten that today is Good Friday - the day that Christ sacrificed Himself, in His Holy perfection, for our sake. In fact, I think that we are more accutely aware of our need for Him during this time in our life. And, being away from our "normal life" we have seen so many on our travels who desperately need a message of hope. We are so humbled and grateful to know the Truth of who He is and why He came to Earth. Our prayers are with our family and friends for a blessed Easter weekend.
